El Grupo Parlamentario del PP instará a la Xunta a promover el baile de competición en la comunidad gallega y que sea reconocido como modalidad deportiva, así como la creación de una federación. Así figura en una iniciativa parlamentaria presentada por la diputada Marisol Piñeiro, que fue trasladada ayer a los directivos de la asociación de clubes Badega, con quienes se reunió, acompañada por el diputado Alejandro Gómez Alonso, en Forcarei (Pontevedra).
Piñeiro transmitió al colectivo el "compromiso" de los populares con esta actividad, de la que dijo que, "más allá de su componente lúdica, reúne todas las características de cualquier deporte, añadiendo una vertiente artística". La diputada precisó que esta modalidad ya fue reconocida como deporte por el Consejo Superior en 2006. Desde entonces, varias autonomías fueron dando pasos para la creación de las federaciones deportivas, mientras que en Galicia no se dio ningún paso, lamentó.

Me he tomado la libertad de ponerme en contacto con vosotros con el único fin de que colaboremos para alcanzar un objetivo que creo nos es común, y que no es otro que el reconocimiento del Baile Deportivo y de Competición como Modalidad deportiva en nuestra Comunidad Autónoma,… GALICIA.
Después de la reunión mantenida por diversos miembros del mundo del baile deportivo en A Estrada, en octubre del año 2008, y tal y como allí me había comprometido, comencé a recopilar la documentación que consideraba necesaria para realizar la SOLICITUD DE RECONOCIMIENTO COMO MODALIDAD DEPORTIVA DEL BAILE DEPORTIVO Y DE COMPETICIÓN, habiéndola presentado ante la antigua Dirección Xeral para o Deporte con fecha de 27 de enero de 2009.
Tras ello he recibido notificación por escrito y telefónica que dicha solicitud sería valorada por el servicio competente a los efectos de tal reconocimiento.
Además, tengo confirmación de palabra del Técnico resposable de que el informe que emita sobre el baile deportivo será favorable a nuestros intereses.
Tras dar estos pasos he solicitado en diversas ocasiones ante la Asociación Española de Baile Deportivo y de Competición (AEBDC), la última de ellas durante la celebración de la Asamblea General Ordinaria de esta asociación el 6 de julio de 2009, que se nombrara, sugiriera, indicara,… o lo que sea, a la persona o personas que han de encargarse de realizar las “negociaciones políticas” con el órgano administrativo competente en materia de deporte para llevar esta iniciativa a buen puerto, cosa que a día de hoy no se ha producido,… o al menos yo no tengo conocimiento de tal circunstancia.
Después de diversas conversaciones, escritos y demás con responsables del baile deportivo de este país, he llegado a la conclusión de que esta iniciativa tiene que ser encabezada y llevada a cabo por los que estamos directamente afectados por esta situación, y que no somos otros que todos aquellos que practicamos baile deportivo en Galicia.
Es por eso que solicito vuestra colaboración (o mejor dicho,…. os ofrezco la mía) para conseguir que nos reconozcan como DEPORTE en nuestra comunidad.
La próxima semana remitiré a la Secretaría Xeral para o Deporte, dependiente de la Presidencia de la Xunta de Galicia, (…todo ello con la inestimable y desinteresada colaboración de la Federació Catalana de Ball Esportiu) la documentación que se me ha requerido por parte del técnico responsable como complemento a la solicitud enviada.
Siguiendo sus propias recomendaciones, el siguiente y más importante paso sería solicitar una reunión con el Secretario Xeral para o Deporte, en la que estén representados la totalidad del colectivo y, a poder ser con gente de diversas “ramas” y de diversidad de lugares, pues considera que la plasmación de la pluralidad y el apoyo que por parte de la mayoría se preste a esta iniciativa es un elemento fundamental para su consecución.
Con ese deseo de conseguir un apoyo total al proyecto, os remito este mensaje y os dejo los datos necesarios para contactar conmigo y llegar a un acuerdo sobre el cuándo y el cómo de esa reunión y de todos los pasos a dar. De la misma forma, os pido por favor que trasladeis esta comunicación a todas aquellas personas relacionadas con el baile deportivo que considereis deben ser conocedoras de la misma, pues no dispongo de ninguna otra forma de contactar con todos los implicados.
